Are you feeling a mix of frustration, panic or anger over something that’s gone wrong with your plumbing? And we just want you to know we feel your pain!

Plumbing repairs

Our plumbing repair service includes everything from stopped-up drains in the bathroom to problems in the kitchen, utility room and more. It also includes leaking faucets, valves, shower heads, sprayers, pipes, traps, drains, toilets, garbage disposals, ice makers, refrigerators, washing machine connection lines, outdoor faucets and pipes, hot water heaters, tankless heaters and more.

Pipes can burst, corrode and rust through; seals can fail; and deposits can build up in plumbing lines. Septic systems can back up, leak, fail to drain properly and even worse.

Residential and commercial services

We’ve been serving the Central Valley communities for nearly 15 years. From private homes to apartment buildings, offices, industrial and professional buildings and complexes – no job is too small or too large for our staff. We offer free estimates and stand behind our work 100 percent.

New construction

Let us help you make wise water choices with your next new construction project. We are experts in water conservation, from tankless water heaters to low-flow toilets and shower heads. We’ll be happy to advise you on which of the latest products best suits your needs and budget. We’ll also furnish you with ratings and future serviceability information.

Sewer inspection and cleaning

A backed-up sewer line can be hazardous to your home, potentially preventing all of your individual drains from carrying away all waste and gray water from your home. Sources of blockages can include everything – from your little boy’s Lego toys to your favorite oak tree’s roots infesting the line.

Don’t wait to resolve this problem, as solutions become more complicated the longer you wait.

Septic system troubleshooting

A septic system provides private waste removal for homes that are not connected to local sewers. It has three main parts:

The septic tank
A drainfield for the treated waste water
The soil beneath the drainfield
Waste is filtered to the soil, where components in the soil neutralize bacteria and chemicals before they reach groundwater or nearby rivers and lakes. Proper maintenance of septic systems ensures the longevity of the system. However, older tanks and systems can show signs of failure through corrosion and other problems. Please ask us for assistance in troubleshooting problems with your septic system.

Drain cleaning

Keeping your drains clear is essential to their long life. Any stoppage or clogging will contribute to early corrosion and decay of your pipes. Early signs of problems include slowing of water draining, back-ups, new smells in the line and more.

Outdoor drains may be affected by rodent infestations or tree and shrub roots, as well as soil shifts causing cracks or breaks in the lines. Ask us about our video inspection services and the best ways to maintain your plumbing for longevity.

Hot water heaters

We install and repair conventional and tankless hot water heaters. In addition, we recommend annual inspection of your hot water heater to ensure there’s no excess buildup of sediments in the tank or lines. Excessive solids can vastly reduce the heating efficiency of your hot water tank as well as cause accelerated aging of the equipment.

Appliance hookups

Call us to install your major appliance hookups for sinks, bathtubs, showers, toilets, dishwashers, ice makers, refrigerator drinking water, water filters, garbage disposals, outdoor kitchen fixtures, built-in coffee makers, laundry and utility plumbing, drinking fountains, water features, gray water irrigation, ponds, streams and more. If water moves through it, use an expert plumber to ensure the hookup is completed correctly.

Fixture installations

From a new bidet to an above-counter vessel sink, Ken Mays Plumbing, Inc. is well-versed in the installation of major home and office plumbing fixtures. In recent years, a number of changes in the design of low-flow toilets, above-counter vessel lavatories, wall-mounted faucets and lever handles, and goose-neck faucets in the kitchen have altered traditional plumbing methods.

Of course, it is our job to stay on top of changes and new techniques and technologies in the plumbing industry in order to best assist you. Ask us how we can help ensure your home improvement or new construction goes smoothly and efficiently.
